Minority Business – Minority Owned Business

According to the 2001 Minorities in Business report published by the SBA Office of Advocacy in November 2001, the minority-owned business population more than doubled their share of U.S. firms from less than 7% in 1982 to nearly 15% by 1997 (http://www.sba.gov/advo/stats/min01.pdf). This growth rate is astonishing!

Discussion questions: Why are these groups starting businesses at such a rapid rate? What are the advantages or disadvantages of being a minority business owner? Should minority-owned businesses receive extra help from the government? Why or why not?

1.to make money to send to relatives, or open a store to sell their ethnic foods idk hah
2. You may attract more of one race that is similiar to yours becuase of the area you are in.. a white guy in a chinese community . ha no
3.No because they are just like the american people , dont start a business if you rely on help
